Role Description:

Role description

The successful candidate will support the Marketing and Communications Manager in promoting the Nuclear Institute, the professional body for the nuclear industry, to members, potential members, employers and the public. For NI membership, events and our journal, Nuclear Future, you will contribute to targeted campaigns across the NI digital platforms including social, and create a variety of promotional materials. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their marketing skills in general and digital skills specifically, is highly self-motivated and organised with their own time.

Responsibilities:

Main duties include: 

Serving the NI and its members

  • Using all digital networks and tools, including LinkedIn, Twitter, NI Connect, Canva, Adobe, Mailchimp, Tawk-to, Linktree and other tools to recruit new members, promote NI events and create awareness of the NI in general
  • Provide practical marketing support to our volunteers who run NI’s branches and networks
  • Assist with producing marketing analytics reports to inform the CEO and trustees
  • Prepare and issue the monthly NI newsletter and develop other newsletters as required
  • Create content for the NI website, making sure it is kept up-to-date and developing marketing alongside each new addition of content
  • Respond to queries in the Communications inbox
  • You may need to attend major NI and other events, conferences and exhibitions to promote the NI. This will involve occasional UK travel (not more than 1-2 days per month).

Promoting membership and events

  • Create or source advertisements across digital and print to promote membership and events
  • Manage marketing materials and NI branded merchandise including liaising with designers to deliver new materials and ensuring appropriate levels of stock are held centrally and by NI branches and networks
  • Use case studies, profiles, video etc to promote professional membership of the NI

General

  • Maintain a calendar of NI events for all branches and networks to contribute to
  • Other tasks to support NI operations as requested.
Essential Skills:
  • A confident attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to take on new tasks as needed
  • Excellent IT, written and verbal communications skill

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills

 

Education & Experience:

Travel

There will be travel and occasional out of hours working to support membership and events.
